Lindsey Wood

Director, Sourcing & Supplier Management Mastercard

Lindsey Wood is the Director of Sourcing & Supplier Management at Mastercard International, based out of the company’s Technology and Operations headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri. As a global payments and technology company, Mastercard operates the world’s fastest payments processing network, connecting consumers, financial institutions, merchants, governments, and businesses in more than 210 countries and territories.  Lindsey joined Mastercard’s technology sourcing team in 2018, driving category strategies that support the company’s core and innovative technologies.  While at Mastercard, Lindsey has led global contract negotiations for network providers and corporate mobility, with impact across all regions and multiple business units.  She manages a portfolio of telecom and contact center suppliers, and provides leadership with in-depth knowledge on market conditions, industry trends, and emerging supply options.

Lindsey brings global sourcing insights from another large multinational, Monsanto Company (now Bayer Crop Sciences), where she held various roles within the Global Supply Chain organization from 2009-2016.  She started in manufacturing as a global trade and compliance project manager, driving the implementation and performance of logistics and technology suppliers. She then transitioned to sourcing, first in Global Logistics Category Management and then as the Procurement Director over Global IT.  While in Global IT Sourcing, Lindsey received recognition for the negotiation and contract execution of global managed service agreements for IT Service Desk, Infrastructure Services, and Application Development in partnership with the managed service strategy project team (Commercial, Finance, Legal, and IT SMEs).  Besides the significant savings, supplier consolidation, and improved performance achieved by the managed services effort, the new model provided a consistent and global way to operate, mitigated risk, and allowed the ability to scale.

In addition to technology and manufacturing, Lindsey has held sourcing roles in higher education as well as retail, and brings experience from the supplier side of the table from her early career in sales and account management.  She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, followed by a Master’s in Business Administration, both from Webster University in St. Louis.  She is a Certified Telecommunications Network Specialist (CTNS), a Lean Certified Practitioner, and holds a Supply Chain Certificate in International Trade Management from St. Louis University.

She has a passion for pulling apart complex global contracts into digestible concepts and sharing key learnings from existing and new deals.
