John Hefley

I’ve been with Bridgestone since 2001, working in IT starting in 2010. Since 2010 as our Service Asset and Configuration Manager (SACM), I’ve been responsible for managing all of Bridgestone Americas’ IT assets, both hardware and software, as well as centralizing our IT spend. Recently I’ve transitioned to a Software Compliance Manager role focusing on maturing our Software Asset Management practice.

 My current focus with Bridgestone is to optimize our software landscape where possible, to identify and mitigate risk in our environment as well as identify areas for cost savings by rationalizing and consolidating/standardizing what software we’re allowing in our environment. I’ve been involved in researching and implementing a software asset management tool and navigating through numerous software audits including SAP, MicroFocus, PTC, EMC, BMC, and Adobe to name a few. I’ve also been involved in negotiating 2 global Microsoft EAS and SCE agreements.
